I've been building websites, creating illustrations, and working in the design field since 1999. I experienced the first digital revolution first-hand as art-boards went from x-acto blades and glue, to digital solutions like PageMaker, Corel, and Publisher. My earliest memory of digital art came in the form of the Atari Touch Tablet and "Atari Artist" software (now I'm showing my age). Most of my design education was done using digital platforms, but I still remember the complaints about how "PhotoShop" could never replace true art. Yet here we are 25 years later and digital art assets are mainstream.
I am against using AI to replace artists. I don't want any of my creations to be used to replace artists or designers. My goal is to help artists and designers embrace the AI revolution through assistive tools that improve workflows, ideation, and iteration. The idea here is to not get bogged down in the details, but to get to creating your masterpieces faster and efficiently.
